What do you do when you want engagement pictures in the snow and it's 60 degrees in February? You go to Mad River Ski Mountain.
After waiting for months for a good snow, we decided to take matters into our own hands. It turned out to be the best of both worlds: pictures in the snow without freezing!

This Fall was a blur and this was one of my busiest Fall seasons yet, which has a lot to do with a new focus on family photography. I'll have a post to look back on family photos later, but for now I wanted to look back on all of the weddings and engagement shoots from 2016. I had an amazing time meeting the newly engaged couples and photographing their weddings. Here's just a taste of the past year. I cannot wait for what lays ahead in 2017!

John and Caitlin, both Ohio University alum, wanted an Athens enagagement shoot. We started uptown and hit up their favorite spots including the Athena Cinema and the Cats Eye Saloon, where they would catch up after a long day of classes. We then travelled to a field that is by Caitlin's parents house, which was a perfect spot for engagement pictures and the light was oh so right.

We started Devon and Alaine's engagement shoot by greeting the cows on Devon's family farm (they were very friendly). Then, we ventured around Devon's family farm which had plenty of great places for pictures. My favorite spot was in the broom sage. It may not make sense to farmers, but it sure looks pretty! It was great getting to know Devon and Alaine more and I'm looking forward to wedding in June!

I had fun with Aaron and Carrie last month as we wandered around Athens for their engagement shoot. First we went to the Hocking river, which was one of Carrie's favorite places near OU's campus. We followed that up with some pictures during the sunset at Stroud's Run. Aaron only had two requests: that we include his Mustang and Stormtrooper helmet. Done and done.
