The Thomasons are such a generous and loving family. I'm inspired by their family and the stories of their two adopted girls. Last month, Kelley and I drove down to, literally, the middle of nowhere in West Virginia to spend the weekend with them. My main desire was to photograph them as a family. I wanted to photograph their routines and the small moments.

Rachel and Jason's wedding last month was a great celebration, combining both Jewish and Catholic traditions. The Acacia Reserve was a beautiful venue and the weather broke just in time for the sunset. However, my favorite part was the reception (which is not normally the case!).
Once the dance floor opened up, the Hora began. Hava Nagila came on and the whole room erupted in celebration. Everyone began circling Jason & Rachel, hoisting them up on chairs, and chanting the traditional Hebrew lyrics, proclaiming joy over the couple. It was my first experience at a wedding with traditional Jewish elements but I certainly hope it's not my last.

It was supposed to rain. All day. Instead, God gave us beautiful, soft light (with slight sprinkles) and a nice sunset to top it all off. In short, all a photographer could ask for.
I was honored to be a part of Kevin and Amy's wedding last month. I've known the two of them for years and have witnessed how great their impact on other people's lives have been separately. I can only image the impact they will have as a couple.
