Jordyn Zimmerman - Portraits - Athens Ohio

I recently had the honor of photographing Jordyn Zimmerman who is receiving a "Yes I Can" award from the Council for Exceptional Children. She is being awarded for her efforts to become a special education teacher and for her advocacy for special needs. Jordyn has autism and has difficulty speaking. However, with the help of an iPad and voice-to-speech software, she is able to excel at school and is currently a freshman at Ohio University in the Patton College of Education.

It was a joy to meet her and take her portraits last month. The weather was quite cold, but Jordyn was a good sport and smiled anyways as we took some pictures outside.

Katelyn & Zach - Anniversary - Athens, Ohio

This winter has been amazing: I much prefer the 60 degree weather compared to 15 and snowy. It was just that for Katelyn and Zach's anniversary mini-session. They are both Ohio University alums and while in town for a basketball game, they took the opportunity to get some anniversary pictures. I'm so glad they did!

The other week, John surprised Autumn with a photoshoot to celebrate their first year of marriage. We got breakfast with them at Casa Nueva in Athens and then headed over to The Ridges. After taking some pictures there we hiked up to Radar Hill. It was so fun hanging out and getting to photograph them!
